Sea Buckthorn Oil
Hippophae rhamnoides fruit oil, commonly known as sea buckthorn oil, is effective for treating scars due to its rich composition of vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids. This oil's high concentration of omega-7, vitamins A, C, and E supports skin regeneration and collagen production, essential for scar repair. Its anti-inflammatory properties reduce redness and protect the skin from free radicals. These combined benefits make sea buckthorn oil a powerful ingredient for reducing scar visibility and enhancing overall skin health.
Centella asiatica, also known as gotu kola, is a key ingredient in our product. This ingredient acts as a natural skin soother and a therapeutic agent to aid in wound healing for burns and postoperative hypertrophic scars. Our Skin & Scar Cream uses a trademarked ingredient solution, TECA®: Asiaticoside, Asiatic acid, and Madecassic acid. TECA® is clinically validated for its ability to stimulate collagen synthesis, repair damaged tissue, and soothe inflammation. This ingredient delivers exceptional results in wound healing, scar reduction, and the restoration of compromised skin integrity.
iActive Ceramide PGF®
A synergistic blend of 5 different ceramides, including Ceramide AP, Ceramide AS, Ceramide EOP, Ceramide NP, and Ceramide NS, and hydrogenated lecithin that restores the lipid barrier, improves moisture retention, and minimizes sensitivity. Ceramides are lipid molecules essential to the skin's outer layer. They help form the skin’s barrier and retain moisture, protecting against environmental damage and dehydration. This barrier function is crucial for scar healing and repair, improving both texture and appearance. Their ability to restore and strengthen the skin barrier makes ceramides a vital component in scar treatment.
Niacinamide
Niacinamide, a form of vitamin B3, is a powerful ingredient that brightens the skin and strengthens the skin barrier, effectively reducing discoloration and post-acne marks. It is an essential nutrient that also helps regulate sebum production, strengthen the skin barrier, reduce redness, stimulate ceramide synthesis, support hydration, and improve uneven skin tone. When paired with panthenol, a form of vitamin B5 that hydrates and supports skin healing, these two ingredients work together to improve skin texture and tone, while promoting a healthier complexion.

Our founder’s personal struggle with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome inspired EM Radiance’s mission to spread more awareness and strengthen science. We also support the EDS Society’s mission to help others who share similar struggles and its dedication to advancing and accelerating research for effective and equitable therapies.
